Refund policy

At Global Publishing Center, we strive to provide high-quality publishing services. Because our services involve customized professional labor—including editing, formatting, and custom cover design—our refund policy is designed to be fair to both the author and our creative team.

1. Service Cancellations & Refunds

We offer a 30-day window from the date of purchase to request a refund for any service package, subject to the following conditions based on the progress of your project:

  • Work Not Started: If you request a refund before any work has commenced on your project (editing, design, or formatting), you are eligible for a full refund (minus any third-party transaction processing fees).

  • Work In Progress: If work has already begun (e.g., your editor has started the manuscript review or a designer has begun concepts), you may be eligible for a partial refund. This refund will be prorated based on the percentage of work completed at the time of the request.

  • Work Completed: Once a service has been completed and the final files (formatted manuscript, final cover art, or SEO descriptions) have been delivered to you and approved, the service is non-refundable.

2. Physical Items (Proofs and Author Copies)

To be eligible for a return on physical items, such as printed proof copies or author copies:

  • The item must be in the same condition that you received it: unread, unmarked, and in its original packaging.

  • You must provide the receipt or proof of purchase.

  • Damages and Issues: Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately at info@globalpublishingcenter.com if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong book, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

3. Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Custom Digital Products: Finalized high-resolution print-ready files or ebook files once delivered.

  • Published Works: We cannot offer refunds for fees paid to third-party platforms (Amazon, IngramSpark, etc.) once the book has been processed for distribution.

  • Sale Items: Only regular-priced service packages may be refunded; unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

4. How to Start a Return or Refund Request

To start a request, you can contact us at info@globalpublishingcenter.com.

If your return for a physical item is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

5. European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period

Notwithstanding the above, if the services or merchandise are being ordered from the European Union, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. However, if you explicitly request that Global Publishing Center begins work on your professional services (editing, design, etc.) within this 14-day period, you acknowledge that you may only be eligible for a partial refund proportional to the work not yet performed.

6. Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve reviewed your refund request or inspected your returned physical item. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, please contact us at info@globalpublishingcenter.com.
